Great Ayton & District Conservative Club - About us

The Club

Situated by the River Leven, the Club is near the Low Green, next door to the Marwood School and

immediately in front of All Saints (Old Church) Church, which dates back to the 12th Century.

The Church graveyard contains the graves of Captain James Cook's mother and five of his brothers and sisters.

Car parking is available to members at the rear of the building.

The membership is approaching 560 and we are actively seeking New Members.

The Club rooms are situated on the first floor, with access by stairs via entrances at the side and rear.

We also have a lift to and from the car park for members and guests with restricted mobility.

Membership

We currently have a total membership of 556. Consisting of four elements. Full Members,

Senior Members (Members aged 65 and above and being members for five or more continuous years).

Life Members (Members aged 65 and above with forty years or more continuous membership).

Honorary Members (Members deemed to have rendered particularly valuable service to the Club).

We are actively recruiting new members both Male and Female

Becoming a Member

If you would like to become a member you will require the sponsorship of two members, we have temporarily

withdrawn the fee of £30 which was payable on application.
